:) The casino was very nice with lots of slots. There was also a safe, but it was located in the bottom of the night stand - not convenient for older ladies who can't really bend down to see with far-sightedness issues. The coffee maker was OK for single cup only (not Keurig). The fridge was just fine and kept our stuff cold. We had brought a cooler to use in our room, but were told coolers could not be brought in (FYI). It had all the amenities including a fridge and microwave. The hotel room was very comfortable, especially the pillows and the bed.

We were very pleasantly surprised with just about everything. We are small time casino players and thought Rocky Gap would be a great trip as well as a convenient location for all of us to meet. It is a shame that this place is surrounded by such peace and yet I ended up not feeling very relaxed when I left.įirst visit for my 2 sister's and I (all in our later 50's). Another waitress kept apologizing for her and got what we needed. The waitress we had at Signatures on Monday night was terrible. and the waiter/bartender, I believe his name was Shannon, at LB's restaurant. There were several terrific employees who made us feel welcome such as the lady that checked us in on May 22 around 5 p.m. Even after talking to the front desk staff several times, we were never contacted by management. The management staff would have known that and should have planned accordingly.

After the third time of questioning when our room would be cleaned, the one housekeeper for our floor said she had 19 check-outs that day. When we brought it to the attention of the front desk staff no one seemed too concerned. We enjoyed the hot tub but were unable to shower in our room afterwards because even though we had been out of the room from 7 a.m.

The purpose of our vacation was to relax and do a little gambling in the on-site casino. Sadly the hospitality is what was sorely lacking. The grounds, views, and lake are beautiful and they seem to take pride in this.
